Anne

Since coming to the practice Anne has seen the cutting edge of dentistry installed at Eaves Family Dental. We used to have a lot of paper in our charts – now our charts are maintained electronically. We used to have film x-rays – now we use digital imaging. It used to be you couldn’t actually show a patient what the dentist was seeing in their mouth – now we have an intra-oral video camera; and, Anne has been part of the implementation of all of it – and says, “having a state-of-the-art practice is one of the things I enjoy most about my job.”

Twenty-one plus years of Dental Assisting makes Anne one of the most valued employees at Eaves Family Dental. During her years here, Anne has earned her DANB certification and is a licensed Dental Assistant.

Anne’s interests include scrapbooking, walking her dog and relaxing while reading a good book. Anne has two daughters: Carrie, a student and Brooke who also works at Eaves Family Dental and both she and her husband, Marty, are life-long residents of the Penn Yan area.

Ashley

A life-long resident of Yates County, Ashley is a full-time college student and works at Eaves Family Dental part-time – but make no mistake, Ashley does a superlative job of Dental Assisting.

Ashley’s goal is to complete her college education to earn the Certified Dental Assistant Certificate and continue with her Hygiene License. Having a positive impact on the way people think about dentistry is one of the things Ashley likes most about her job.

Besides studying, running, reading, watching movies and cooking are some of the activities that keep Ashley busy when she isn’t assisting the doctors at Eaves Family Dental.

Bev

Employed at Eaves Family Dental for nearly 3 years, Bev previously worked at the local hospital.

Since coming to the practice, Bev started the requirements to earn her Certified Dental Assistant designation.

Bev and Doug have been married for seven years and recently acquired a new puppy, Wilber. Bev’s hobbies include reading and is the office historian, as we can depend on her to take pictures of our activities.

Bev is a gentle soul whose hard work translates into a high level of care and comfort for our patients.

Jean

Jean is one of the consummate professionals at Eaves Family Dental. She has been with our office for over 9 years with many, many more years in dentistry under her belt. Her education covers a Bachelor of Science degree and all licensing and continuing education for her Dental Hygienists license.

“One of the best things about my job is our great patients! Also, the people I work with and our beautiful work environment are an added bonus. We are also given many opportunities to expand our horizons,” says Jean, and continues with, “I am touched by our patient’s many stories, jokes, journeys, children, adventures and antics!”

Jenny

Jenny was born and raised in California. She started working in dentistry l in 1999 doing general dentistry, oral surgery and orthodontics and quickly fell in love with it. She got her RDA (Registered Dental Assisting) license in 2000 as well as her x-ray license and coronal polish license. She continued working in a general practice until late 2003 when she transferred to an orthodontic office. She spent her time between that office and a pedodontist office until she moved to Penn Yan in April 2006 and joined the staff at Eaves Family Dental.

Jenny spends her free time with her family, going to church, kayaking, listening to music, enjoying vehicles and seeing the sites New York has to offer. Jenny is currently in the process of registering for dental assisting school so that she can obtain her New York State dental assisting license and is considering continuing on after that for oral hygiene. Not only is Jenny a licensed dental assistant, but CPR certified and a licensed EMT as well. I guess you could say she just likes to help those in need.

Jill

Certified Dental Assistant
DANB Certified

Having been part of the Eaves Family Dental team for over 20 years, Jill is a particular favorite with patients and fellow staff members. Jill takes the 12 credit hours per year to keep her New York State Dental Assisting License. DANB represents a designation Jill earned by completing all the courses necessary from the Dental Assisting National Board, Inc. – additional training that proves Jill’s dedication to patient care.

Air abrasion is one of the latest methods in dental technology that Jill assists Dr. Marilyn in using on patients as a gentle, quiet option for removal of early tooth decay. Air abrasion is particularly helpful when treating children.

Jill has moved forward with the practice in learning our practice management software and the latest in technology to provide the best dentistry for our patients.

Audrey

Audrey has been with Eaves Family Dental for over two years. She is one of our excellent Dental Assistants in training and really enjoys her job. Working in a practice with the latest technology and meeting all of our valued patients are two of the things Audrey likes best.

Audrey and her husband recently became parents and are thoroughly enjoying watching their beautiful daughter grow and develop.

Hiking throughout the Finger Lakes area keeps Audrey in shape when she isn’t working.

Wendy

Wendy has been in dentistry for over 21 years. After completing her education with a BS from SUNY Brockport, Wendy earned her AAS in Dental Hygiene from Monroe Community College.

There are two things that Wendy truly likes about her job with Eaves Family Dental; one is seeing how excited people are when their new smile completely changes their lives and personalities for the better. And two, Wendy constantly strives for perfection within the field of dentistry.

Loving and raising Siamese cats keeps Wendy busy during her hours away from the practice. Plus, Wendy loves to read, watch movies and spending quiet time with family and pets.
