Lumineers ~ No-Prep Veneers

Lumineers

What is a No Prep Veneer?

A no prep veneer is an ultra thin sheet of porcelain that covers the front of the tooth. It is the perfect fix for a tooth that is stained, darkened, chipped or misaligned. No prep veneers are very strong and with proper home care they can for many years. The lighter, brighter color of the veneer is permanent and you can go home with the smile of your dreams in just two appointments.

What will happen at my appointment?

Getting these veneers takes two office visits. First we will examine your teeth and possible take x-rays. Then we lightly prepare the surface of the tooth, so that the thin veneer won’t look too thick or bulky. Because such a small amount of tooth structure is removed, most people do not need anesthetic. After preparation, we take an impression of your teeth. This mold is sent to a lab where the actual thin veneers are made. On your next visit, we place the veneers onto your teeth to make sure they are a good fit. Once you like the appearance of the veneers, we prepare the teeth for final bonding. Special cement is used to bond the veneer to the tooth, using a curing light. We check the bite and make any minor adjustments.
